Job Summary:
As a Route Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient and effective delivery of uniform and facility services to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Route Management: Oversee daily operations of assigned service routes, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries and pickups of uniforms, mats, and other facility services.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of drivers and service technicians, providing direction, support, and coaching to enhance team performance.
- Customer Service: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing high-quality service, addressing customer concerns, and resolving any issues related to deliveries or services.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor route performance, optimize delivery schedules, and ensure fuel efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Control: Ensure that uniforms and facility products meet company quality standards before delivery to clients.
- Inventory Management: Assist with tracking and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring stock levels are sufficient to meet customer demand.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on route performance, customer feedback, and any operational challenges to the management team.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Promote a culture of safety and accountability among your team.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in route management, logistics, or service operations (preferably in uniform rental or facility services).
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on the fly.
- Familiarity with route planning software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the logistics or service industry.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, depending on location.
